The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Development of VCSEL technology, including for data communication
• Innovative advancement and optimization of VCSEL component properties
• Integration of VCSELs into novel applications through close collaboration with process development and manufacturing interfaces
• Sustainable, systematic resolution of complex design and process-related issues
• In-depth analysis of influencing parameters on component properties and cross-process understanding of interactions

• Successfully completed (technical) university degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable technical/scientific field of study
• Solid professional experience in the VCSEL and semiconductor industry required
• Experience with high-frequency technology for data communication as well as aging mechanisms and reliability of VCSEL components
• Profound knowledge in semiconductor technology and/or device physics
• Broad knowledge of available frontend processes
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style
• High level of problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken; medium German skills are desirable
