Software Architect (all genders welcome) for cloud based solutions in the field o f Water Line Integrity Solutions

Our Water Line Integrity Solutions business unit focuses on developing advanced technologies for checking and ensuring the integrity of water pipe networks. In doing so, we contribute to the better use of limited water resources, supporting sustainability and environmental protection. Our state-of-the-art inspection devices autonomously move through water pipelines, gathering extensive data, including video and ultrasound data. To evaluate this data, we develop cloud-based software solutions that utilize classic signal processing algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI). In our interdisciplinary, agile, and autonomous teams, we foster innovations that create both business and ecological value.

Aufgaben

• Design scalable and secure cloud solutions on Azure to support data collection and processing

• Understand business and application needs to identify key architectural drivers

• Develop comprehensive solutions considering organizational constraints

• Engage with multiple teams to maintain up-to-date architecture and establish guiding principles

• Lead architectural expansions and ensure cohesive development across teams and projects

• Work closely with data scientists, developers, and stakeholders to align infrastructure with project objectives

• Streamline machine learning workflows and model deployments through MLOps methodologies

• Continuously evaluate and enhance system efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

• Rapidly diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues

• Maintain clear, detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and operational procedures

Profil

• End-to-End Architecture: Proven capability to architect comprehensive solutions, from sensor data acquisition to customer insights delivery

• Azure Expertise: Extensive experience with Azure Cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security)

• Azure DevOps: Proficient in managing repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and project tracking with Azure DevOps

• MLOps Knowledge: Familiarity with MLOps practices for efficient deployment and monitoring of machine learning models

• Infrastructure as Code: Experience using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) for automated infrastructure deployments

• Data Pipeline Design: Ability to design and implement robust pipelines for sensor data collection and processing

• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash

• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of best practices in securing cloud environments and ensuring regulatory compliance

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus) to collaborate effectively within teams.
